Description

Light sheet microscopy (also known as LSFM or SPIM) is a fast and gentle imaging technique that combines the speed of widefield imaging with optical sectioning and low photobleaching. For most volumetric imaging it is a better choice than confocal microscopy.

Key features:
  • Minimum photodamage
  • Good optical sectioning
  • Fast acquisition
ASI's modular components make it simple to implement light sheet microscopes in practically any configuration; common implementations include diSPIM, ct-dSPIM, and oSPIM.
