Description
The 24 Position MICROVAP is a compact nitrogen blowdown evaporator, ideal for laboratories with limited bench or hood space. It is designed especially to evaporate small tubes such as GC vials and microcentrifuge tubes. Each MICROVAP includes one custom heat block, machined to fit the user’s tubes for optimal heat transfer. Additional heat blocks are available for use with other tube sizes.
This unit efficiently evaporates samples through a combination of an aluminum heat block and nitrogen gas blowdown. The nitrogen distribution manifold offers continuous and evenly dispersed gas flow to each sample position through stainless steel needles. This manifold raises and lowers as a unit to start and stop gas flow to all samples with one motion. The MICROVAP dry block heater base is standard between the 24, 15, and single plate models, making it easy to convert between the different models to accommodate both microplate and tube samples.
Advantages:
- Compact design: The MICROVAP product line has the smallest footprint of all of Organomation’s nitrogen evaporators
- Ease of use: Temperature and gas levels are easily set using the digital temperature controller and gas flow meter
- Versatility: Quickly converts to a 15 position MICROVAP or a single 96 well microplate evaporator using a dry block and gas manifold conversion kit.
Unheated, acid resistant, and Teflon free models for PFAS analysis are also available.
