Auto MACS Pro is an instrument used for sorting cultured cells and tissue from their single cell suspensions. Unlike conventional Fluorescent activated cell sorters (FACS) (which use fluorescent tagged antibody to probe the protein of interest), it works on the Magnetic activated cell sorting (MACS) principle that uses antibody tagged with magnetic beads, thus making the sorting more efficient than the former method.
