Good tool, few choices if the battery needs replacement

The tool is great and has performed well for us.We use it to regulate cell density during seed tests, and to count cell survival after experiments.However, our battery is about to fail and we have been informed that our choices are to purchase a refurbished device or spend a similar price to replace the battery (waiting one month), because the customer is unable to replace the battery on his own.
