The cold storage room is a walk-in freezer, to store samples. It has humidity and temperature controller features which can be operated only with the help of a service personnel. The room may be beneficial for storing large amounts of samples in a single place. But, this has limitations as well. One of the limitations is the availability of a dedicated area for construction of the room. It is not cost effective and also requires expert personnel for installation and operation. Also the room requires regular servicing. ULT freezer units can be a cost effective option to this. Overall the system is good despite having some limitations.
