The PerkinElmer NexION 2000 is a great instrument to use for trace elemental analysis. It has very low detection limits and has many features in the software that allow for removal/compensation of spectral interferences. It is not the most straightforward instrument to optimize, but there are lots of ways to tailor the instrument to your specific needs.
