Fibre Optic Light Source for Animal Dissection and Tissue Sectioning

An optimal light source plays a crucial role in the microdissection of brain areas. Light intensity demarcates tissue thickness and integrity which is varied in different areas of brain. Hence, by using an appropriate light source we can perform dissection of brain areas, say, the hippocampus or cortex, without much difficulty and contaminations from other areas. I use this Olympus LG PS2 for my animal brain dissections which helps me to precisely dissect the hippocampal region of the brain. It also helps a lot to match the tissue sections with the atlas during sectioning with a vibratome. Highly recommended.
