This Invitrogen Tris-Acetate precast gel is SDS - polyacrylamide gel that can be used for separating large molecular weight proteins between 400 kDa to 60 kDa, whereas Tris-Glycine gels can resolve proteins less than 200 kDa. Apart from this specific usage, like other NuPage precast gel, Tris-Acetate gels also can separate proteins in both denaturing or native condition.
