Efficient and Fast Detection of NO Levels

The accumulated total nitrate levels were measured in the supernatant of microglia cells that were incubated with LPS in the absence or presence of an autotaxin antagonist (PF8380). This assay is based on the enzymatic conversion of nitrate to nitrite by the enzyme nitrate reductase, followed by the Griess reaction to form a colored azo-dye product. The samples were processed according to manufacturer’s protocol. A standard curve was generated in the range between 0 and 100 µM using nitrate as standard.

The kit works as expected, giving constant result between different experiments. Little variation was observed between replicates.
