We have a few PCR hoods and they all work fine. The issue I have with what we have is that the air controller is separate from the actual PCR hood and, because of this, the PCR hood, air controller and hoses together end up taking up a lot of space. The AC600 is really convenient because it minimized the amount of space that it takes up and, on a table, only occupies the footprint of the hood. Nothing extra. It's really convenient.
