The adhesive film is one of the requirements to properly seal the real time PCR plates. The Thermo Fisher film seals plates properly, which prevents the sample merging among wells, and any leakage. You have to simply remove the protection and slowly cover over the plate to seal it properly. Only thing you have to keep in mind while using - there should be no air while covering to prevent bubbles and ensure proper sealing, and it should not touch any surfaces.
