Detection of Secreted CXCL2 from LPS Treated Microglia Cells

The ELISA was used to analyse changes in the chemokine's level in conditioned media from LPS treated microglia. The aim was to study the impact of autotaxin inhibition (main source of LPA production) on LPS-induced secretion of proinflammatory chemokines. The kit provides you with enough reagents to run approximately 200 samples (2x 96-well plates). The price of the kit is really attractive. Moreover, the ELISA works really well, offering low variation between replicates and experiments. The only disadvantage is that you need to do some extra work coating the plate and buy an ELISA buffer kit, also provided by PeproTech. Still, the cost is way lower compared to a precoated ELISA. I would highly recommend it.
