Concentrating RNA Using Merck Amino Filter Units

We use this product to concentrate RNA down to a small volume. This is useful to us as we can perform multiple RNA elusions, thus recovering the highest yield possible, yet still reducing the final volume which helps downstream applications where the RNA concentration is crucial. The columns are simple to use and effectively reduce volume from 400ul to 20-25ul. The RNA retains integrity. We recommend using a refrigerated centrifuge to keep the RNA cool while being centrifuged. It is also helpful to label the side of the tubes, as the lids can snap off during the final centrifugation step.
