CD63 Antibody for Characterization of Extracellular Vesicle Marker

I have used the BD Pharmingen™ PE Mouse Anti-Human CD63 to assess the presence of CD63 on extracellular vesicles (EVs) isolated from human serum. The presence of this marker fulfills one of the requirements of the International Society for Extracellular Vesicles EV characterization. Alongside CD63, I also assessed CD81 and CD9 expression. I used the antibody in conjunction with the BD FACSCanto and the antibody gave clear results for positivity, analysed using FlowJo software.
