The specific antibody is very popular, being extensively used in immunofluorescence experiments as a marker of microglia activation. For the current experiments, we wanted to assess changes in Iba1 expression in mouse brain tissue using immunoblotting. Having worked flawlessly in IF experiments, the antibody also worked really well in western blots. Only one band was observed at the expected MW, without unspecific bindings or background (dilution 1:1000). Highly recommended!
