Electrophysiological Recording

In our laboratory we are using this device to record electrophysiological current at a single channel level. You can use purified protein to see the activity of only that protein or you can use more than one protein or a complex of protein to see a global activity. There are 4 different chambers in one chip that you can do simultaneous recording. You can even change the temperature in the system. In my experiment, I create an artificial membrane (lipid bilayer) to mimic a cell membrane and I add the proteins that I want to study, but sometimes this membrane creation process can be compelling. However, I highly recommend this device.
