My preferred choice for cultivating HEK293 cells is this medium. However, we need to supplement it with antibiotics (penicillin and streptomycin), Glutamine, sodium pyruvate, non essential amino acids and bovine serum. Overall, this is a good 1X mixture if you want reproducible cell culture results.
