An Easy-To-Use and Fast Automated Cell Counter

We use this automated cell counter routinely to facilitate cell counting, specifically mammalian cultured astrocytes (mouse primary astrocyte cultures). The cell counter allows us to get the most accurate, fast, and reproducible results. The equipment is user-friendly, but requires special counting slides (we use Bio-Rad Cat# 145-0011). For our experiments, we don’t use trypan blue dye, although there is such an option, which is a great option for the cell viability studies. We do not dilute the cell suspension before counting (our cell suspension is less than 10^7, just load 10 uL of the cell suspension into the counting slide and insert the slide into the counter. The whole procedure is very straightforward and fast.
