The gentleMACS™ Octo Dissociator with Heaters is a benchtop instrument designed for automated and standardized sample preparation of up to eight samples in parallel. Equipped with eight individual heating units, optional passive cooling (2–8°C), and a set of optimized, predefined gentleMACS Programs, it enables the automated generation of viable single-cell or single-nucleus suspensions, as well as homogenates from virtually any tissue sample.
The gentleMACS Platform can be equipped with specialized consumables for different applications: gentleMACS C Tubes for tissue dissociation and downstream cellular assays, gentleMACS M Tubes for homogenization and molecular analysis, and gentleMACS Perfusers for automated ex vivo perfusion of resected organs. The single-use gentleMACS Tubes and Perfusers ensure sample preparation in a closed, sterile system, providing high user safety while minimizing cross-contamination.
