Description
Shimadzu’s HS-20 NX Series of headspace samplers provides a reliable and robust headspace solution for any application analyzing volatile components in a difficult matrix. The HS-20 NX Series consists of two models: a Loop model for the traditional static headspace methods, and a Trap model, which adds the dynamic headspace technique for applications requiring greater sensitivity.
The HS-20 NX series uses the isolation gas flow to reduce carryover to 1/10 of conventional models. The proprietary isolation gas flow prevents sample diffusion from the vent channel. This reduces carryover of highly adsorptive compounds and eliminates the need for repeating blank runs.
Additional features
• Excellent reproducibility – the sample vial is loaded from the lower part of the oven, which minimizes heat dissipation in the headspace oven as the vial enters and exits, while maintaining high temperature stability during repeated analyses.
• High temperature capability – vial oven and sample line can be set to 300 °C and the transfer line can be set to 350 °C
• Short, inert sample pathway – suppresses adsorption of analytes, including high-boiling compounds, and peak broadening
• Ready-to-use alternative carrier gas – supports the use of nitrogen and hydrogen as alternative carrier gases, and makes it easy to transfer analysis methods
• ClickTek™ NX Connector – enables users to connect columns easily and without tools, simplifying replacement and routine system maintenance
• Easy access and automatic overlap analysis – up to 12 vials can be kept warm in the headspace oven, and automatic overlap analysis optimizes the total analysis time, even for methods that require longer vial heating periods
