Developed from the ground up for usability, INSTINCT puts NIMBUS functionality into the hands of users at all experience levels, with short learning curves. INSTINCT supports a wide range of daily lab work with new tools that simplify and streamline programming. A built-in labware library displays an icon-based menu of micro- and deep well plates, reagent troughs and Hamilton's complete array of CO-RE (compressed O-ring expansion) disposable pipetting tips. A "Favorites" tool allows the user to create a subset of frequently used labware. INSTINCT's easy Liquid Class Editor helps the user set optimal pipetting parameters, while 3-D graphics provide clear views of automatically created deck layouts. Additional usability functions in the new software include a "Help" menu and an "Undo/Redo" button.
INSTINCT wizards quickly walk the user through method creation steps for common routines such as serial dilutions, reagent additions and plate replication. Advanced method programming is facilitated with embedded, feature-rich Hamilton VENUS software capability, which also provides tools to support 21 CFR Part 11 compliance.
The MICROLAB NIMBUS platform delivers a high-density deck in a compact footprint for easy benchtop positioning.
