FOSS NIRSystems Releases New Process Probes

FOSS NIRSystems offers a range of new process probes, including the 12 mm or 19 mm Optimized BioProcess Probe™ and the Optimized Non-Contact Probe™.

The Optimized BioProcess Probes are designed for real-time in-situ monitoring of mammalian cell culture growth media in bioreactors. With an optimized fixed or adjustable pathlength, this novel design is autoclavable or sterilizable-in-place (SIP). Real-time analysis of nutrients and metabolites will lead to optimized cell culture performance, increased cell viability and bioprocess understanding.

The Optimized Non-Contact Probe is designed for on-line reflectance measurements of moving sheet or web product in a non-contact mode. API or moisture can be measured directly on sheet material substrates.

Up to nine probes can be multiplexed to one FOSS XDS Process Analytics® Near-Infrared (NIR) Analyzer via MicroBundle fibers. Our rugged analyzers track key low concentration analytes and direct feedback control is available through OPC or Digital Protocols.
