Norgren Features Pump With Replaceable Syringe

Norgren expertise in precision fluid handling on display at AACC

LITTLETON, Colo. (June 8, 2012) – New from Norgren, Inc., an inline pump features a cartridge syringe that can be replaced on-site in seconds with no tools required. Now users of clinical chemistry equipment can replace the syringes themselves without taking the pump out of service and returning it to the factory. The zero dead volume pump evacuates completely, leaving no air bubbles to interfere with measurements or reduce accuracy. The replaceable syringe automatically reinitializes to zero. Also, because the syringe is encapsulated in the cartridge, any leaks occurring as it wears are directed away from the motor, preventing damage that could destroy the pump.

Norgren’s Life Sciences team will also be displaying a new miniature proportional valve, the Flatprop EQP, offering the same small size, portability and controllability as the proven Flatprop EQI with the added benefit of 30 percent higher flow. A new Chipsol 8mm media separated valve with a high flow to size ratio and practically no residual volume will be shown as well. Norgren completes the picture with the latest in bonded acrylic manifolds for integrating precision fluidic control components into a single compact sub-assembly.
