ENDO 2013 on Track to be The Largest-Ever Annual Meeting of The Endocrine Society

Chevy Chase, MD—At the seven week mark leading up to ENDO 2013: The Endocrine Society’s 95th Annual Meeting & Expo, the organization has tallied more registrants than any other annual meeting in its history at this same mark. Already, more than 6,500 registrants have committed to attend ENDO 2013 and total paid registration has already surpassed the final total paid registration at ENDO 2012. The premier meeting of endocrinology, hormone research and health science is expected to draw more than 8,000 scientists and clinicians from around the globe.

ENDO 2013 will be held at the Moscone Center in San Francisco, California, June 15-18, 2013. The program covers endocrinology from bench to bedside and this year will provide unique perspectives on endocrinology in the media. Among the many notable speakers at ENDO, the plenary slate will feature experts in diabetes and obesity, metabolism, adrenal diseases, growth, signaling and genomics.

“ENDO is always an exciting event, but this year is shaping up to be something special,” said William F. Young, Jr., MD, president of The Endocrine Society. “ENDO 2013 is the ideal venue to learn and present the best and latest endocrine science, exchange ideas and network with the world’s largest gathering of endocrinologists and scientists working in hormone research.”

The Society has received nearly 3,000 abstracts for ENDO 2013, second only to ENDO 2006 in Boston, and the meeting’s Continuing Medical Education Services (CMES) events are already sold out. CMES programs are compliant with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) and American Medical Association (AMA) guidelines and can focus on the latest research and development, new disease state management guidelines or new therapies and treatment options.

ENDO attendees are encouraged to visit the ENDOExpo where they can learn about cutting-edge advances in medicine, science and technology, as well as meet with medical liaisons to learn about the latest treatment therapies. The Expo features exhibits, poster presentations, food stations, a relaxation station and areas to meet with colleagues. The ENDOExpo also offers enlightening presentations in the Expo Theater; educational materials, gifts, and apparel in the ENDO Store; and the popular prize wheel which is expanding to two locations this year.
