DUBUQUE, Iowa (February 26, 2014) –LabStrong Corporation now manufactures a ventgard filter suitable for operation in Thermo Scientific Barnstead* water purification system storage reservoirs. The product protects pure water during storage by preventing airborne impurities such as organic vapors, carbon dioxide, alkali and acid gases from entering the water storage reservoir. The product effectively filters dust and particles as small as 0.2µm from the air.
The ventgard filter, LabStrong part number 25001LS, is directly compatible to the Thermo Scientific Barnstead part number 25001 and 25001-DB. Under normal operating conditions, the filter will last up to 90 days or until 1,000 gallons of water have been drawn from the water storage reservoir. Each filter is individually sealed in a plastic bag to extend the shelf life. The filter provides outstanding quality at a significantly lower cost than the competitor’s.
Some of the more common Thermo Scientific Barnstead products that require the ventgard filter include Classic Still Storage Reservoirs, Cabinetized Stills Storage Reservoirs, DIamond TII Storage Reservoirs, the Fi-Streem Still Storage Reservoirs, ROpure ST, EASYpure RO, EASYpure RO DI, and the EASYpure II RF. Reverse osmosis water storage tanks and fiberglass water storage tanks manufactured by Thermo Scientific Barnstead also require the ventgard filter.
