SIBUR, the largest integrated petrochemicals company in Russia partnered with Brochesia, a company that develops integrated software solutions for wearable technology, like smart glasses have digitally transformed Sibur. It’s called the “Network Modernization- Digitalization” transformation project.

Sibur is using Brochesia’s B View solution to improve its production processes and use remote assistance and augmented reality for maintenance and support services.

Alexander Leus, Sibur's Head of Industry 4.0, says: “Brochesia is helping us in our journey to digital transformation; they are a very trusted partner with a consolidated experience in AR software solutions and smart glasses. The Network Modernization-Digitalization project is just beginning but we can see the first positive outcomes: since we have adopted the B View solution we saved in time and money when doing activities in our production plants. Moreover, we could decrease travels of the most experienced technicians as well as of our suppliers who are now able to give their advices remotely. Finally, we are exploring new possible applications of Brochesia software in the company. I'm sure they can give us the right tools to enhance our Digital Transformation, improving both our production process and business performance”.

At Sibur, external examination is required for normal repairs, and contractors are unavailable to run these processes. Due to Brochesia’s remote technology, Sibur can use experts from all around the globe (Belgium, France, Italy, Korea, Serbia, and other parts of Russia).

As Christian Salvatori, GM/CTO of Brochesia explains, “B View solution combines the convenient use of wearable devices, Smart Glasses, which allow to work hand-free, with the ability to perform activities in complete freedom and safety. But most of all it allows collaboration between a field technician and an expert who can perform remote assistance being located anywhere in the world; due to the restrictions imposed by the containment rules of Coronavirus COVID-19 epidemic, all the activities must be quickly reorganized. Choosing to rely on new collaboration technologies, such as B View, means being able to guarantee business continuity and a high level of remote technical support.”

Salvatori continues, “Wearing smart glasses, the technician has instant access to the knowledge of a subject matter expert as well as to operator manuals and all necessary instructions. To give an example, B View helps guiding in identify units and parts and connect them properly. The benefits are a proven reduction on travel expenses and service costs as well as a considerable time-saving.”
