Hydrogen Analysis Capabilities Added to the 828 Series

LECO has added hydrogen analysis capabilities to the 828 series, which optimizes carbon, hydrogen, and nitrogen analysis in petrochemical and other organic materials. The CHN828 has the same core capabilities and performance of previous generations of LECO macro combustion instruments while adding key improvements in throughput, uptime, and reliability. Optimized hardware and an on-board touch-screen software platform with rapid analysis times ensures the CHN828 operates at a low cost-per-analysis.

The CHN828 is equipped with a custom interface designed specifically for touch-screen operation with LECO’s exclusive Cornerstone® brand software. This enables complete access to analysis control, method settings, diagnostics, and reporting while maintaining a great footprint.

The 828 series performs rapid cycle analysis times as low as 2.8 minutes and an optional 120-sample position autoloader. An operator-centered design brings versatility and low operating cost to analysis with features such as extended reagent lifetimes regardless of sample mass, matrix, or carbon content. The 828 series is available in various models for a wide variety of applications, including an S832 add-on for independent sulfur analysis, and is compliant with ISO, AOAC, AACC, AOCS, and ASBC approved methods of analysis.
