diaago has announced the availability of the AFYS3G Lambda8 Information Marking System, a high-resolution laser engraving platform designed to provide permanent, maintenance-free identification directly on laboratory tubes and racks. The Lambda8 is now in stock at diaago and available for immediate purchase.

The AFYS3G Lambda8 enables laboratories to engrave text, logos, serial numbers, batch IDs, 1D barcodes, and 2D Data Matrix codes directly into the surface of labware. Unlike traditional labels or ink-based printing systems, laser engraved markings become part of the labware itself, eliminating issues such as peeling labels, fading ink, smudging, and relabeling.

Designed for demanding laboratory environments, Lambda8 markings are resistant to chemicals, abrasion, and extreme temperatures ranging from +100°C down to -196°C. This makes the system ideal for applications involving cryogenic storage, biobanking, sample management, and high-throughput laboratory workflows where long-term traceability and reliable identification are critical.

The compact benchtop system is designed for easy integration into existing laboratory workflows and supports one ANSI/SLAS-format rack or up to 25 tubes per run. Lambda8 is compatible with tubes ranging from 0.30 mL to 15.00 mL and supports labware from manufacturers including Azenta (FluidX), LVL Technologies, and Micronic.
