Polymer Char for
Thermal Gradient Interaction Chromatography (TGIC)

Description

The TGIC Instrument is a fully automated Thermal Gradient Interaction Chromatograph Instrument for measuring Composition Distribution in Elastomers and Low Crystallinity Polyolefin Copolymers. This technique uses carbon-based adsorbents to characterize the composition distribution in polyethylene copolymers.

Features
  • Fully automated operation with no manual solvent handling. Integrated vial filling with solvent, sample dissolution and in-line filtration.
  • Useful technique for the identification of components in Post Consumer Recyclates (PCR), PP-PE blends, and other recycled polymers
  • Fast analysis time of around 2-3 hours including sample dissolution.
  • Analysis of up to 42 or 66 samples sequentially, with the possibility of using different methods each one.
  • Both TGIC and Crystallization Elution Fractionation analyses can be performed in the same instrument with dedicated software packages.
  • Easy incorporation of Polymer Char’s on-line Viscometer for composition molar mass interdependence.
