HPLC Fraction Collector

Fraction collection is performed during various types of chromatography to allow for the isolation of single peaks and in order to obtain enough of a chemical so that it may be used a reference standard. Nearly all types of chromatography are capable of performing fraction collection including HPLC, SEC, and HILIC. Typically, most of the fractionation setups are a part of the setup of an HPLC system where they are combined with a fraction collection component between the detector and the systems waste container.
