Visual Food Inspection

Visual Inspection is a component of food manufacturing that determines whether the quality of a raw material or finished product meets standards and does not contain any defects or foreign matter. Vision inspection can be performed by either the human eye or through an automated process using vision inspection equipment. During the inspection process, materials and goods are examined and information is gathered in regards to preset criteria such as thickness, shape, color parameters, weight and surface features and texture.
