The UV Meter / UV Tester is a compact measuring device for detecting UV-A radiation in the range of 300 ... 390 nm, with a peak wavelength of 365 nm. The UV Meter / UV Tester measures radiation intensities from 0 ... 19,999 µW/cm2 with a resolution of 1 µW/cm2 and an accuracy of ± 4% FS. The measuring rate is one measurement per second, a hold function enables the current value to be recorded.
The UV Meter / UV Tester has an integrated sensor, an easy-to-read 1.4-inch LED display, a battery indicator and automatic switch-off after 4 minutes to save energy. It is powered by two 1.5V AA batteries, which makes mobile use particularly convenient.

The most important test procedures include continuity testing of the conductors (pins 1–8), wiring testing to check the correct assignment of the wire pairs, and the detection of short circuits, wiring faults, and split-pair faults. In addition, the shielding of shielded cables is checked. The test range covers cable lengths of up to 305 m, whilst the minimum cable length for split-pair detection is approximately 0.5 m.
Our Cable Detector operates using test signals transmitted between the main unit and the remote unit. The results are displayed via LED indicators. Steady LEDs indicate correct wiring, whilst flashing LEDs indicate faults in the respective wire pairs. Additional status LEDs indicate the type of fault, such as short circuit, miswiring, reversal, or split pair.
