Nitrogen generators and zero nitrogen capability are essential for creating oxygen, moister and hydrocarbon-free environments for analytical instrumentation. Some nitrogen generation instruments are intended for integration with other products. Applications range for use in gas chromatography, GC/LCMS, sample concentrators, and spectroscopy. The capacity to create oxygen and moisture-free environments is a result of proprietary single or double-stage adsorption technology. A nitrogen generator can vary by input and output flow rates, as well as operating pressure ranges. Some generators are designed as high capacity workhorses offering flow rates of up to 420 L/min, while others specialize in ultra high pure (UHP) or zero nitrogen/air at lower flow rates.
