Thin Film Deposition Systems

In the process of thin film deposition, a layer of material that ranges in thickness from fractions of nanometer to several micrometers is applied to a surface or to previously deposited film creating a multilayer surface. This technology is used in a vast amount of products and industries including microscopy sample slides, medical devices, pharmaceutical drug manufacturing, electronics, photovoltaics, chemical sensors and more. Techniques used by thin layer deposition systems fall into one of two broad categories: chemical or physical.

Selecting for specific deposition technology is based on a variety of considerations such as product application use and material characteristics.
