Both vacuum evaporation and vortex evaporation are two sample preparation processes that are used to remove moisture from a sample. Vacuum evaporators are used to evaporate liquids through the application of pressure and is sometimes in conjunction with temperature to be reduced below a sample’s vapor pressure. Vortex evaporators are also used to remove liquids to concentrate a sample for sample preparation. Unlike a vacuum evaporator, a vortex evaporator uses vortex motion for this process. Applications include environmental testing, drug development, toxicology, pharmaceutical, forensics, food, semiconductor, and chemistry.

This concentrator combines a refrigeration system that cools to -10 °C with a heater that warms to 100 °C to achieve the user’s desired set point temperatures. As many as 296 sample containers may be processed at once when utilizing double-stacked rotor arrangement. Sample sizes range from a few microliters up to 50 milliliters. CentriVap Concentrators are also available as one component of CentriVap Concentration Systems.... Read More |
