Online Programs Cover Wide Range of Topics of Interest to Lab Professionals
COLUMBIA, MD, April 30, 2012 – COLA, an internationally respected clinical laboratory accreditation agency, announced a series of live webinars for laboratory professionals scheduled from May through August. The one-hour online programs will focus on a wide range of topics, from Preventing and Responding to Exposures to CDC-recommended Good Laboratory Practices.
“COLA’s webinar series has become increasingly popular with laboratory professionals, because it provides something for everyone, from the experienced laboratory director to the novice laboratorian,” said Douglas Beigel, CEO of COLA. “We have an exciting lineup of topics and speakers during the next several months, including a program on the emerging issue of Accountable Care Organizations (ACOs), which will have wide-reaching effects on laboratories.”
The ACO program, scheduled for May 22, will be hosted by Dr. Michael S. Barr, Senior Vice President of the Division of Medical Practice, Professionalism and Quality of the American College of Physicians. The webinar program also will address the concepts of the Patient-Centered Medical Home (PCMH) and PCMH neighbor.
