Workshops and Exhibit Provide Detailed Workflow Solutions
Indianapolis, Ind. – (June 21, 2012) – Beckman Coulter Life Sciences will combine a range of workshops and posters featuring the latest methods and applications with an exhibit offering a leading-edge group of instruments and reagents at CYTO 2012, which will convene June 23-27 at the Congress Center in Leipzig, Germany.
Exhibit hall booth 319 will house the Astrios* cell sorter with Biohood, which performs complex, multi-color sorting, as well as the Biomek 3000 ACPrep* liquid handling system, an essential tool for labs that focus on high throughput flow cytometry applications, seek improved reagent management and need easy to audit cocktail preparation. The Gallios* research flow cytometer equipped with the new optional 561 nm laser for analysis of fluorescent proteins will also be on display at CYTO.
Comprehensive lines of antibodies to human and non-human antigens, cell signaling and immune monitoring reagents will be demonstrated by representative products, data and company flow cytometry experts. Posters on PerFix-p and PerFix-nc, reagent kits for intracellular staining, will detail how they enable a clear focus on the cytoplasmic and nuclear compartments of the cell.
The company’s display will also include some of the technology that was obtained with their recent acquisition of Blue Ocean Biomedical. Booth guests may preview the AQUIOS** flow cytometer line, which provides true integration of sample preparation, handling, analysis and data management – making AQUIOS a truly Load & Go cytometer.
Workshops scheduled for the conference cover topics such as the flow cytometric analysis of signal transduction responses in normal bone marrow; CD6: a new low/negative surface marker for human FOXP3+ naturally-occurring regulatory T-cells; monitoring signal transduction pathways in human disease; and other seminars and poster sessions. Presenters will include Beckman Coulter Life Sciences’ experts, as well as collaborators from an array of international research institutions.
“We find the CYTO meeting to be one of the most exciting events of the year,” said Mario Koksch, director of product management at Beckman Coulter Life Sciences. “There is great value in the opportunity to meet with researchers from around the world, display our product lines and expertise, and learn from the presentations of others.”
