LPA Members Contribute Over $100K in Equipment to Arizona Science Center

Fairfax, VA – The Laboratory Products Association (LPA) is thrilled to announce it partnered with the Arizona Science Center while in Scottsdale for its 2012 Annual Meeting October 29-30. LPA member companies donated or pledged laboratory equipment and cash totaling just over $100,000. In addition, the proceeds of the association’s golf tournament held during the meeting were donated to the Center as well.

The Arizona Science Center is private, non-profit corporation established in1982 with a mission to inspire, educate, and entertain people of all ages about science. The Center includes more than 98,000 square feet of gallery space and more than 300 hands-on exhibits.

We have been amazed at the generosity of LPA members to the Arizona Science Center,” remarked Toby Amir Fox, Director of Corporate and Foundation Relations. “Donations from the LPA will enable the Center to design and implement a variety of new and exciting gallery programs.”

Being able to give to local communities is something extremely beneficial that associations can do and we were delighted to be able to help the Arizona Science Center in advancing their mission of promoting and teaching science to students and others,” commented LPA President, Clark Mulligan.
