Irvine, CA – September 30, 2013 – New Focus, a Newport Corporation brand and leading provider of Simply Better™ photonics solutions for industrial and research applications, is introducing the 8743-CL two channel integrated closed loop Picomotor controller and driver.
The most recent addition to the New Focus Picomotor controller and driver family is a compact cost-effective solution for driving closed loop Picomotors. The single-box solution can be manually controlled with the New Focus 8758 hand control pad or computer-controlled via USB 2.0, RS-485 or Ethernet.
“With the new 8743-CL integrated driver and Ethernet controller we now offer a compact, cost-effective, and user-friendly solution to control closed-loop New Focus Picomotors”, says Sandy Wang, Product Manager at New Focus. “Each 8743-CL module can control up to two axes and provides a very compact and economic solution for two axis configurations. “ Up to 31 units can be daisy chained via the RS-485 interface for larger setups.
With its advanced Picomotor auto detection feature, embedded dynamic HTTP-server, cleaner, simpler graphical user interface and full LabVIEW and Windows DLL support, the 8743-CL controller is extremely easy to use. All accessories for the 8742 open-loop Picomotor controller are fully compatible with the 8743-CL.
