Beckman Coulter CYTO Workshops, Exhibit Detail Workflow Solutions

Integrated Systems, Chemistries and Software Deliver Quality Assays

Orange County, Calif. – (May 16, 2011) – Beckman Coulter, Inc. will have a prominent presence at this year’s CYTO 2011 conference (May 21-25 at the Baltimore Convention Center), hosting workshops and an exhibit featuring automated workflow solutions for research, cellular therapy, drug discovery and clinical applications. Multicolor analysis instruments, mouse and human CD markers, dyes, software and other sophisticated analytical tools will be on display.

Booth 233 will include a Gallios research cytometer interfaced with a Biomek workstation and mouse reagents. Also on display, the Quantum Cell Expansion System and the CompuCyte Laser Scanning Cytometer in a powerful cell therapy module. Single cell molecular analysis will be featured in a pairing of the Beckman Coulter AmpliGrid platform with the MoFlo Astrios multi-laser cytometer and appropriate reagents. Clinical and clinical research applications will be represented by Krome Orange violet-excited organic dyes. Further integrated automated solutions, which streamline sample preparation using the FP1000 and multicolor analysis using either the FC500 or Navios flow cytometers, complete the line-up.

On Sunday May 22 at 12:30 p.m. Beckman Coulter flow cytometry experts will present Progress on the Standardization of Microparticle Enumeration by Flow Cytometry (Room 341) and Kaluza: Using Supercomputing Power to Accelerate Analysis (Room 339). Monday’s workshops, Hematopoietic Bone Marrow Cell Sorting Without Compromise: Seven Lasers, Eight Colors, Six-Way Sorting – A Novel Approach (Room 341) and Cytometry of Cell Signaling: Automation of Complex Signal Transduction Assays (Room 337), both start at 12:30 p.m.

“Our customers benefit from our wide-ranging technology platforms, reagent chemistry and application expertise,” said Brad Calvin, vice president and general manager of Beckman Coulter Flow Cytometry. “For a broad range of cellular based research, we have the breadth of experience and product offerings to help them develop successful, efficient, high quality solutions.”
