LECO Corporation to Host Free Webinar on Environmental Forensic Investigation

St. Joseph, Mich.—On Thursday, August 18, at 11 a.m. EST, LECO Corporation will hold a complimentary e-seminar, Environmental Forensic Investigation of Hydraulic Fracturing Fluids Used in Shale Gas Wells in the Eastern United States. This e-seminar will be presented by Frank Dorman, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology in the Forensic Science Program at Penn State University.

This live, 45-minute presentation will explore the use and practical application of Gas Chromatography—Time-of-Flight Mass Spectrometry (GC-TOFMS) in complex method development and sample analysis following an environmental disaster. The presentation will focus on the scenario of environmental contamination caused by hydraulic fracturing used in gas well drilling. Audience members will have the opportunity to interact with the presenter and to submit questions about the topic.
