Faster Than The Speed of Light?
RELATIVELY SURPRISING—PHYSICIST'S THEORY CHALLENGES EINSTEIN
14 February 2012 - In his new book, The Hidden Variables Theory: The Initial Values of the Fundamental Constants in Physics, self-taught physicist Israel Fried demonstrates that "a higher speed of light exists within the atomic domain than in a vacuum" challenging the previously held notion in Einstein's theory of relativity that nothing in our physical world could travel faster than the speed of light.
Perhaps the most incredible aspect of Fried's discoveries is that he managed to calculate through formulas what physicists have only recently been able to prove through experiment. Using the formulas laid out in his new book, Fried is also able to predict findings not yet made by physicists.
"Recently, physicists working to measure the neutrinos generated from a particle accelerator at CERN (The European Organization for Nuclear Research) discovered neutrinos that appear to be traveling faster than the speed of light in a vacuum," says Fried. “The implications of this on our reality are immense, and will eventually lead to increased understanding of the way our universe functions as well as the ability to time travel."
The new hypothetical particle emerging from this study is known as the Higgs boson, sometimes referred to as "the God Particle" and CERN's confirmation of this particle will also confirm all of Fried's theoretical findings.
"The discovery of this particle will explain a lot about the atomic domain - that is, the smallest level of our universe," says Fried. “It will increase our understanding about the composition and creation of our universe and will help to explain phenomenon such as black holes."
Up until these recent discoveries, Einstein's theory of relativity has been the basis of physics. It will be very hard for life-long physicists and mathemeticians to abandon the convictions of Einstein in order to aqcuire the new understanding of physics that the atomic domain requires.
“But ultimately, it is what Einstein would have wanted,” adds Fried.
Israel Fried was born in Buachrest, Romania in 1951 and immigrated with his family to Israel in 1959. He currently lives in Beer-Sheva, Israel. He received his B.A. in management and industrial control, and currently serves as a project manager in the Hi-tech industry. Apart from several courses taken in college, most of his knowledge in advanced physics is self-taught. His acquired knowledge of physics has led him to a new approach in understanding the fundamental issues that current physicists are dealing with.
