Linkam Scientific Instruments will be revealing its Optical Differential Scanning Calorimeter for measurement visualization of thermal transition studies for materials characterization.
The Optical DSC450 functions to measure melting behavior and glass transitions for a variety of substances while generating simultaneous image capture with their optional LINK Digital Imaging Module.
This image data provides the following information:
- Color
- Morphological changes
- Both parameters can be correlated with temperature and phase transitions
Temperature limitations for the DSC450 are -150 °C (with the optional LNP96) to +450°C with the atmosphere of the stage can also be gas purged. Using TASC in conjunction with the imaging capabilities of the Optical DSC450 allows for a robust analysis of the characterization of a materials thermal properties.
