Continuous Gas Imaging Camera Improves Industrial Gas Inspections

FLIR Systems have developed their first autonomous leak detection camera, the FLIR GF77a Gas Find IR Camera, to visualize industrial gases. The connected GF77a enables users to continuously monitor dangerous methane leaks.

The GF77a is engineered to combine its gas detection features with its uncooled, fixed-mount camera platform for a fraction of the cost of conventional systems. The camera optimizes inspections and reduces risk of false readings by accurately detecting a variety of industrial gases including:

  • Methane
  • Sulfur dioxide
  • Nitrous oxide

Featuring a FLIR-patented High Sensitivity Mode (HSM), it provides better detection capabilities by accentuating movement making gas plumes more visible. Additionally, the radiometrically-calibrated GF77a measures temperature, offering solution for overheating and tank level monitoring issues. With advanced connectivity protocols, the FLIR GF77a is equipped with easy integration to analytic solutions.
