Laboratory Vacuum Systems / Vacuum Suction Systems

Laboratory vacuum systems refer to two different types of technologies: systems that provide vacuum to multiple workstations in a laboratory, and systems that provide enough suction to operate Pasteur pipettes, or to move assays through multiple channels. Systems that provide vacuum to multiple workstations serve as an alternative to central vacuum supply or individual pumps for each vacuum user. Suction systems, in contrast, often include a diaphragm pump that is used to aspirate liquids into an autoclavable bottle. A vacuum suction system comes pre-loaded with mountings for Pasteur pipettes, but are compatible with other types of vacuum-assisted extractors.
