Tabletop Centrifuge

Tabletop Centrifuge A staple of all laboratory environments, tabletop centrifuges (sometimes referred to as benchtop centrifuges or simply lab centrifuges) facilitate harvesting and separating particulates in suspension. They are typically used in the laboratory by biologists, chemists and biochemists alike for rapid separation of precipitates from reaction mixtures or, at higher accelerations, for sedimentation of cell membrane fractions. Featured compact centrifuges can be divided into several categories based on applications and rotor type. Rotors can have angle-fixed or swing head configurations that are typically interchangeable. Maximum speeds range from 4-40,000 RPMs. Models offer a wide range of acceleration and brake rates, and some offer refrigeration.
