Automated Sample Storage

Commonly employed in life science research, automated sample storage systems are used to track, monitor, and dispense samples in real-time while avoiding unnecessary temperature cycling of samples. While automated sample storage systems can vary greatly in size, capacity, and features, most will include the ability to maintain a set temperature to improve sample stability. Many automated sample storage systems offer automated sample retrieval to dispense the necessary samples while preventing others from dangerous temperature cycling. When comparing automated sample storage equipment, ensure that the temperature range is compatible with the storage requirements of your samples as models can range from -20°C to 40°C. In laboratories that currently employ a LIMS or sample tracking system, certain models offer integration into these existing systems to provide a streamlined addition to your workflow.
