The fume hood is very necessary in every lab for safety regulations and if you have a labconco hood in your lab that means you are good for safety and lab guidelines. I would prefer this fume hood to be in each research lab as you can prepare stock solutions using hazardous chemicals with ease. No fumes spread in the lab and you can also comfortably and confidently work with it. This fume hood has a specific height you can open the shaft so sometimes this restricts your body to move, which I feel a drawback in this instrument.
