Low Cost Vacuum Pump for General Lab Use

We needed a simple, cheap vacuum pump, initially to do atmosphere exchange in a small chamber, but now also to do vacuum-assisted metallographic cold mounting. Been using this pump now for about 5 years and it has worked well for us. The most difficult bit was adapting the British thread on the intake, which was not bad once we figured out what the thread was.
