The hybridization oven from ACD is used for BaseScope and RNAscope in situ hybridization experiments conducted in our laboratory. We utilize both methods to assess the expression of mRNA of interest in mouse brain samples. The oven requires the use of a special humidity control tray (PN 310012) from ACD. The oven can be used for the in situ hybridization part of the experiment at 40 degrees Celsius or for sample baking at 60 degrees Celsius. It is important to set the oven to the desired temperature settings beforehand, so we typically turn it on at least 30 minutes before use. The oven is very user-friendly and does not require much bench space. Highly recommend this hybridization oven.
